Next module is on Digital Design and Production starting Monday November 1st

First week will be an introduction to Rhino, Grasshopper and Rhinoscript
But we will also start to use the 3d-printer and lasercutter and start designing

First day at the ETH we were welcomed by the professor Ludger Hovestadt and all the other staff that will teach us the comming year:
– Michael Hansmeyer: subdivided surfaces
– Klaus Wassermann: the laboratory of noosynthesis
– Steffen Lemmerzahl: parametric architecture
– Tom Pawlofsky: productional design
– Benjamin Dillenburger: indexing architectonics
– Dr. Vera Bühlmann: the laboratory of applied virtuality
– Manuel Kretzer: architectural production
Finishing the day with a Diner at the Reithalle Restaurant Gessner Allee 8, Zürich

As it turns up, we’re are a small group of 7 students from Mexico, Korea, Japan, Serbia, Poland & Denmark, but then we will hopefully learn much more due to the high ratio of teachers to students.

This is a blog to share knowledge and projects during my Studies at ETH Zürich for a Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Architecture, Specialisation in Computer Aided Architectural Design. September 2010 to September 2011

The class contains modules in theory, basic skills about programming, and in the CNC production of architectural artifacts. The main interest of the research is the reflection on the potentiality of the upcoming technologies for future architecture. The class starts on an abstract theoretical and philosophical level and ends in exercises in designing concepts of future architecture on the so called symbolic level.
